The swirly thing in the middle adds a bit of color to the base which was missing before. Additionally, Asmonius added a second floor in the middle of the base for growing different crops, though it makes the bottom layer biomes a bit dark. However, this is easily fixable with some torches. The villages around the base look super cool, and the houses themselves are also detailed.
